Its a very nice warm evening out there tonight. The peepul opened the back door to let some air in and of course that means that Patrolman Bill is hard at work. I have to make sure that my territory is guarded from introoshuns.

It also gives me time for night time bug hunting, there were some little moths that I was chasing for a minute.
The yard appears to be safe and free of introoders.Don't worry Mum, I got this!

Introoder Kitty!

Introoder alert! Introoder alert!

This is what I was saying this evening as I was rudely interrupted from doing my usual patrolling routine around the backyard.

My territory was breached by this large gray and white kitty. He just appeared out of no where. Literally. One minute I was alone in the back yard and the next thing I know, this giant behemoth of a cat launches itself over my fence line. He must have had a trampoline on the other side, because I don't know if I could jump over it like that. He didn't get far into the yard, I met him over by the barn and we had a stand off. Mum came out just as it was getting good.

We were about 3 feet apart, facing each other making all kinds of vishus cat noizes. She got the flashy light and beamed it at us because it was dark and peepul eyez don't see much in the dark. We both glanced at her briefly then went back to the stare down. Mum started walking across the yard and he turned to go. I thought, "this is my chance" so I followed behind him, well he stopped and turned back to me so then we were even closer. A great amount of loudness began. I was yelling at him, he was yelling at me, Mum was yelling at us, there was so much yelling happening. The WB heard the commoshun and came out to see what was going down. He brought his extra bright light and walked right up to the both of us. Introoder kitty stayed for a minute more but then saw that the WB meant bizniss and ran to the fence. I don't know how he did it, but he launched himself back over the fence. He was no small kitten either, he was at least my size, maybe bigger and he climbed up and over the tall fence boards like nuthin.

Now Mum is worried that I'll know how to climb the fence and go find him. I guess I won't be going out unsoopervised much for awhile.

That was rather stressful, I definitely need a nap now. I hope I don't dream of that introoder kitty, I'd rather not see him again.

Thanks be to Bast! I was allowed outside today. The noizy doods finally left for the day and they left us a new finished fence all the way around the back yard. I have a new territory to patrol and it is very exciting, very!
But, in my usual fashion, as soon as I got out the door, this is what I did:

I have a large area to patrol, I sure hope Mum lets me have enough time, today I just had enough time to do a once over of everything out there before it got too dark and cold.
So this is what all of the noize in the yard has been about all week. This wasn't here the last time I escaped out of the house.

This little green tree is quite smellerific, I don't know what it is. It dwells on this side of the barn.

I'm sure that I'll be having many outdoor adventures. I hope you are excited about it as I am. But now that I've been out and about, its time for a nap on the top of my tower.

In other notes...can someone tell me how to tell Blogger not to underline my words after I put a picture up? It's annoying to me.

The peepul were having pizza tonite, It smelled soo yummy. The WB was standing by the counter, I snuck up behind him on the counter and with my little paw, I reached up to his hand when he was looking the other way a grabbed at the pizza he was holding. I surprised him so much that he couldn't turn me down. I got to lick the crust! It was delish! Thanks WB.

In other news, we got a new couch. I was unsure of it at first because I missed the old one, but its been here a day or two and I'm pretty impressed with its snoozability factor now.

Hooray!!!! I finally got all of my stuff back. My towers, my blankets, its all here in the new house. I'm so happy to be out of that little room. I have places to explore and new things to see and smell. This new year is starting off pawsomely already. I's a happy kitty now.

Don't you just hate it when the peepul pay attention to everything else besides you? Well Mum was paying attention to the WB last night so when she got in bed I whapped her in the face when she got under the blankets. She pushed me out of bed at that point. She didn't know until this morning that I made a little scratch on her nose. How else am I supposed to get my point across?? I am the cat! Not to be ignored.

Staying here at the hotel isn't all that exciting, so I've resorted to reading magazines, hawt babe magazines. Check out the that fine Burmese lady on the page, meeeoww. The next page even says that we are made for each other.Thanks Mum for subscribing to Cat Fancy, I find it most interesting. Just don't get any ideas from the main topics in the issue, it was talking about diets and un-fun stuff like that.

Yesterday and today have been pretty good ones. I haven't seen that other kitty at all, so that makes it good right away. I've got to explore around inside the downstairs without worrying about Smokey, because Mum is able to close doors between us. I've checked out the dining room and the piano room, and also have learned about going up and down stairs. I've never done stairs before this weekend, I'm really good at it now. My new house has some stairs from what I've heard, so its nice that I get to practice before we move in. Yesterday I actually got in the other kittie's litterboxes, I hope they weren't too offended, its not like I did any business in them, I just dug around a little bit.

I was allowed to go out in the yard on a leash the past few days. That was fun. They have all kinds of trees, and of course in trees there are birds and also skwerls. There are lots and lots of sights, sounds and smells. I wandered around for a long time this morning and then convinced the WB to take me out for awhile later in the day. He let me out without a leash and then Mum came out and ruined it all. She followed me around and then grabbed me up when I went places she didn't want me to. She hauled me back to the house, which I was not happy about. I growled a few times, and she didn't get the hint. When we got up to the door, I tried to tell her without question that I didn't want to go back inside, to her that translated to being mauled on the arm and she still didn't listen. So it was back to the bed room for me...

We do have pictures, however the innernet won't work right and won't let me put them on here. When we get back to the hotel room (which I think is tomorrow after another long PTU ride) we will update with pics.

Happy Thanksgiving

Its Thanksgiving day, we are at my Grammie and Grampy's house for some amount of time. I had to ride in the PTU to get here, that was no fun. Then we got here and I'm set down in the living room and immediately there is another cat in my sight. So , I hissed at him, I've never met another cat face to face, and being in a strange house, with new peepul, I was a lot stressed out. They let me out when the other cat, who's name is Smokey went out in the porch. It was kind of fun exploring, there were lots of smells to smell. The WB's dad, tried to pet me, but I wasn't in the mood, so I hissed at him, them WB tried to console me, which I wasn't in the mood for either, so I hissed ar him too, I think I even hissed at Mum. At that point it was all a blur and I was just hissed off and angery at everyone. There was a close meeting with Smokey later on, I made noises at him that even I didn't know I was able to do, the peepul were freaked out. Smokey was upset too, he hissed back, but his peepul called him to the other room, and there was no boxing match, only verbal abuse.

Eventually Mum and WB took me upstairs to the bedroom, where I can be alone and at peace with no other kitties in sight. I'm sure they are out there, but it's ok if we don't see each other. I have my food and litter, places to lay and a window to see out. I just need to be thankful that I'm not at a boarding place by myself.

I hope every kitty has a better thanksgiving than this.

UPdate: the day improved a little bit. Mum took me outside on the leash and I got to walk around and checkout the yard. That was pretty fun. I rolled in the concrete for the first time in forever, I enjoyed that, even More so because I got all dusty and Mum fussed about me being dirty. Hehe

Hams and an upcoming adventure

I got a speshul treat last night. The peepul were having some ham and Mum shared several cubes of it with me. I love HAM, its probably like one of my favorite peepul foods.
I have been hearing talk that I am going on another adventure this week. We are going to my Grammie's House for Turkey day. I haven't met them before and I also get to meet my hyoomin uncle and cat uncle's Smoky and Sammy. I hope Smoky and Sammy don't get too mad at me for coming to their house. I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes throughout the weekend.

hotel dwelling

Sorry I haven't written anything since last week, but I think most of you know that we have made it to our destination.
I guess we live in a tiny room now, I'm not really sure why, but it's okay. Kind of boring, but I'm here with my peepul, and read that other kitties sometimes have to stay in a private kitty hotel/prison away from their peepul when they are moving around like this. So I'm thankful that I'm here with them.
This place has strange noises all around though, it kind of disturbs us. Up above us is a noisy small person who jumps around and we hear him thumping around a lot. He does it all night, last night it went on until we went to bed. The WB actually called the desk and told them to inform the noise makers to settle down up there, but they didn't. Today they went down and talked to the desk tenders and were informed that the thumpy noisy peepul were gonna be up there until December 2nd. Not cool!

I have caught up on a lot of sleep since during the driving, I really didn't sleep well, but I've had time to relax since we've been here. Luckily Mum made sure that Ping came with us on the trip and we have had time to bond. Although, the past few days he's been hiding out under the bed. She also made sure that my bizkit pillow came with us too, so I make bizkits every night, and sometimes in the morning too. Its very soothing and stress relieving to make bizkits on the bizkit pillow and after that driving, I needed to de-stress big time.
So that's what's going on around here, wherever we are. I haven't been able to go outside to find out yet.

Another day, another hotel

We have been travelling for an eternity. I think this is what my life it going to be for the rest of my life and I'm not so sure I want to live in the PTU everyday. Everyday we wake up and I get shoved in the box for hours, then it is a on to a new tiny little apartment for the night and then it happens all over again in the morning.
I have learned to cope with the driving part, I just sit in the box and sleep, or stare. Mum looks back at me every now and then, and I just stare back at her. Or bite her if she sticks her finger in.
At certain rest stops I get to be freed from the PTU to walk around in the truck. There are always too many scary big trucks and noises outside and I'm content to just look out the window.

I have heard rumors that this may be the last stop before we finally get where we are going. I sure hope so. I'd like to stay somewhere for more than a few hours.

Today I had to sit in the PTU for at least a hundred hours. Mum drove and drove and drove, we just kept driving, until finally the peepul let me out and put me on the harniss and took me out and walked me around in this freezing cold windy noizy parking lot. After that I was actually happy to go back in the PTU. After that we drove another billion hours in the dark until finally we arrive in a place called Needles. I sure hope we don't get poked by any needles in Needles.

Now we are in a little room, that is kind of like my peepuls bedroom with a bathroom in the same place. I finally got to have dinner and some water and litter usage. Yes Mum offered all of this to me in the truck, but how am I supposed to go outside or in the box in the transporter, i just held it all day. Ihave a feeling that we aren't staying here, and this whole process may be repeated.

Just so you all know, I tried to protest all of this, but after about 3 hrs of yelling, scratching and biting the PTU I decided that it was more painful than helpful. She just wasn't listening to me, however I did get a few good bites in on her fingers when she stuck em in to touch me.

FYI- ptu = prisoner transport unit. And the hour amounts may have slightly exaggerated.

Some new things have happened around here. A travel tent showed up and Mum started taking me for my practice rides. Since she doesn't get it when I yowl and yowl during the rides, I told her my opinion of the tent by chewing a hole in it. We'll see what that does.

The berd recently vanished from the house. A new man came in one day last week with Mum, they talked awhile, then they put Samule in her travel box and he left with her. I guess the people felt that it would be better for her to move in with someone else instead of travelling with us. I hear she has a mini flock now, that man has 2 other berds. I bet that house is super noizy.

Mum has also started another blog, I have no idea how she'll keep that one updated, since we all know how she does at helping me keep this one current. However, her school is done, so blogging can replace her paper writing time. Http://snappytravels.blogspot.com. Is this address, I have no idea what it'll be about.

Handsome Mancat with a new collar Monday

Mum bought me a fancy new collar this week. It's bright oringe so it's noticeable in the day time and I'm visible in the dark if she shines a light at me because it has reflective lines on it. It also makes me less vulnerable to hunters if I go somewhere that they have hunting season. They'll know that I am a hunter too, not the prey because oringe is the fashion color for hunters.

See it really stands out on my dark fur colors.

Scary noises in the night

A few nights ago my Mum and I were waked up by a scary noise outside. I don't know how to spell the sownd it was making but it was kind of like "ay-ay-ay-oooooroooooo!". I didn't know what it was, but Mum said it was one of these:

She said it's called a ky-oh-tee. It sounded like it was right out back, but we don't know how close it really was. You have seen my back yard, its not that big and there are other houses right behind us, so that means he was pretty brave to be walking around in our area. It hollered for a few minutes and then it ran off because the "ay-ay-ay-oooo" got less noizy.
I think he was hungry, because when I'm hungry I make a lot of noize too, I hope he wazzint looking for my food cause I'm not into sharin.
Now she won't let me out in the yard in the dark without shinin a light at me every five minits, so its barely worth it for me. I was still workin on getting those gofurs, but now I have to wait for them to appear during daylight hours.
I hope that ky-oh-tee stays away from my howse from now on, he may look nice, but I don't think he was here to make frends.

I'm sure every kitty will know what I'm about to complain about...She found me in my secret hiding place! Oh, the madness of it all! I had successfully hidden from her on several occasions since finding this great place, and now I can't use it anymore. I was using the empty laundry hamper, it was such a pawsome spot, but now its no good. She knows where to look for me, and she put her dirty clothes in there. Ugh, a mancat just can't catch a break sometimes.

Mancat Monday Weekend Review

This weekend was adventurous for me.

On Friday night the peepul grilled out and had the patio door open at night time, and "mothra" flew in. I spied it and chased it all around the house. Mum was being very helpful and would swack the moth with a towel when he'd park himself up at the ceiling level where I couldn't reach. She did that a few times and then he went over by the cat tower where I could almost get him. I took a flying leap off of the top level and I landed with a hard thud and an "oof". Mum panicked and thought I could hurt myself if it happened again. She kept touching my feet and ankles, to make sure there was no hurts. I was fine, cats can land from big jumps. Well, needless to say, she ended the moth hunt at that point. He parked up high on the wall where I watched him for the rest of the night. Saturday morning came and he got lazy and ended up at my level. That was a mistake for him and he met his end. I ate him! Then Mum gave me Tem-tay-shuns so I could get the mothy taste out of my mouth.

Later that same morning, while Mum was at the shelter helping the other kitties, WB and I were out back. He was brushing me and I was eating grass, the usual routine. The grass I was eating had some of them clovers in it, and the clovers had flowers. I saw this little bug flying around the flowers, buzzing back and fourth. You know me and flies, I eat them. I didn't think this fly was any different until I bit him and he bit back!!! Holy cats! I felt crazy pain in my face, I shook my head alot and pawed at my mouth. WB didn't know what was going on, until he saw the dead fly on the ground. Turns out it was a Bee and he stinged me! I'll just let you all know now, Bees are not nice! I don't like them, they hurt me. WB sent Mum a message on the fone, to which she exclaimed "OH NO!" and rushed home to make sure I was ok. She was actually on her way back anyway and was in the house in less than 5 minutes. Nothing bad happened from the bee, I've been fine ever since. Hope I can tell the difference next time, I don't want that to happen again.

Sunday was nap day, the peepul were out all afternoon, so it gave me time to catch up on my sleeps. WB brought home this little in the house flying toy, a helicopter! Its fun to watch, I haven't dared to try to catch it yet.

Mancat Monday

Today is suitcase day as well, I guess Mum is going away for work again, but its not so bad now that WB is back in da howz. I can sit and watch him play his racin car game on TV.

I had thought that Mum's school break would mean lotsa blogging, instead it meant that the peepul ran away to Lost Vaygas again. These hyoomins just think they can leeve me whenever they pleese. I don't think so... I like my babysitter and all, but...
So today on this Sunday, just like every other day, I am going to sleep in until they come to find me.

Then, when they let me go outside, I'll even help them open the door, since they may need a big strong man cat to shove it open.I iz strongest cat in da werld!!

School break means the cat blogging continues

Sorry I've been away for such a long time, Mum was finishing up her 2 summer classes for the past few weeks, so she has been hogging the computer time. But she is on a two week break now, so I get to make posts again!

Not too much has been happening around here, I've been getting reakwainted with the WB. We like to play this game where we hide from each other behind the post, its a fun game- if you have a post you should try it sometime with your peepul.
The only other thing that has really been going on is that I am hungry a lot lately, I think Mum has been skimping on my food. Apparently I have under arm rolls. I don't know why peepul think they have to regulate how us cats eat, I am just fine.

Samuel Saturday

Today is Samuel Saturday.
My favorite human has returned from wherever he has been for all this time. I have missed him. The "Mama" Bird is ok, but the "Boyfriend" Bird is way better in my opinion. I have decided that I may lay some eggs in his honor. I am seriously considering that this will be something that he will appreciate as a welcome home gift.
We'll let you know what happens, if that cat will give me more air time on the blog next week.

The WB has returned!

Hi everfurrybody!

I wanted to share with you all that my favorite Wresslin Buddy has returned after a long time being gone away. It has taken me a few days to get used to him being here, but he's been here a week and it seems like things are getting back to normal now. Things got a bit heated during our first wressling match, I get kind of vishus when I wressle. The peepul cut my claws a few days after these pictures, I'm not able to be quite as vishus now.

We are having a heet wave around here, its been this way for 4 days and my hairs are trying to fall out. Mum brushed me today and pulled off 2 brush fulls for the 2nd time since Sunday. I'm shedding! I've never had to shed before, it's never been warm like this for so many days. Ok ok, I'm exzajerating just a bit, it's not THAT hot, not hots like the WB had where he is, but for here, it's pretty warm! Its warm to the point that I didn't even sleep in the bed with Mum last night, I stayed out in the living room sleeping in the driving chair. She was wondering where I was all night, but I think she realized that I didn't like the temperature in the bedroom.
I know some California kitties are up where it is hundreds of degrees, I feel for you guys, it's not that hot down here, and we are coastal, but the warms that I am feeling is bad enough for me.

Now the sun has gone away so the temp is cooling and I can go out on the concrete out back and roll.

Lawndry Day, revisited

I know I've told you this before, but somethings just never change around here:

I luv, luv, luv lawndry day!!! I love laying on the dryer when the clothes are on top and there are some inside rolling around. It makes for a nice warm, squishy place to snooze.Then when the door opens, I'm in it before Mum can even tell me no. Then I commandeer all the clothes that are in there, she's not allowed to take them out until I say so. I even fight for them with her, I'll grab them if she tries to take them from me, then I bite her if she gets too close. My Lawndry!!

More harniss nonsense

Mum thought she'd put that harniss on me again yesterday. I don't know why she insists on my walking around the house with this thing on. Actually I don't do much walking, I do alot of flopping as you see here.
It's not my favorite thing, and I make strange faces when it's on.

I even tried walking backwards to get out of it, but as you can guess, that didn't work.

Finally after about 20 minutes of this nonsense she took it off.

New Home and new blog

Hi there everybody, I'm Willie! I hear that cats that blog are the coolest, so I have decided to begin a career as a blogging cat. My new best human friend said that she'd help me write it, since I'm young and don't type well. My cat blog idol is Skeezix the cat, he's the ultimate in cool cats and I hope to be half as good as him at blogging.
This has been a totally tiring day, I got adopted this morning and have been going non-stop, exploring my new house, getting to know the people, finding new toys. It's been fun, but I'm bushed. Oh I found the funnest toy ever, I was told that it is called a pencil, it's grate to play with and carry around in my mouth, I don't chew on it, I just bat it around and it rolls all over.
Anyway, it's time to snooze on my friend's lap now.

Three years ago today, this wonderful little beast took over the lives of two people. It's been a great time so far, we are looking forward to many more Gotcha Days to come.

So today started out like any other, Mum's alarm went off, we got out of bed awhile later. She got ready for werk and just as I thought she was leaving me for the day, she asked me to go in the carrier box. I did with no argument cause that's just what I do. She put me in the truck and took me with her. I was rather intreeged at this, I always stay home, but not today. I got to go to the office with her!! Neeto.

Take the kitty to werk day!
We got there and she let me out and I explored all over. It was really fun. I was so excited that I got all poofty tailed.

I checked out tables, chairs, funny smellin carpet, I inspected all of it.
Holy carp! Is that an old timey bloggin masheen??? Wonder what they do with that...

It was just a stop over on the way to the V-E-T.
A haf hour after we got to werk, she asked me to go back in the carrier box again. It terned into Take the kitty to the V-E-T day... I was saddened that I wasn't going to be able to put in a full day on the job, I could have earned myself some monies to buy Temtayshuns.

Off to the V-E-T we went, the people there were very complimentary, they gushed over how handsome I am and my massive tiger like size, all 19 pownds of me. Then they put me on a table and pinned me down and jammed the BIGGEST needle ever into my back!!!! Holy CARP that hurt! So much that I hissed at the lady and showed my fangs to her, then took a swipe with the claws, but she was too fast and she escaped my assault. After that they kept holding me down while they looked me over and held something in my ear for a few seconds. Nothing else hurt, but I was not in a good mood after the giant needle, even though they continued to give me nice compliments over my aesthetically pleasing colors.

Mum says that there is a tracking device in me now. I guess this means that I am no longer stealthed, I am being tracked by satellites and radars. I'm not sure of the purpose of all of this, but I guess if I was to get lost, then I'd be found easily. Can someone answer a question for her about this? She went on the Home Again website and it says that she has to pay $16.00 to register, she filled out the registration form at the V-E-T, when they mail that in will I be registered for no fee? Should we wait until that shows up on the website before we do anything?

After all of that, I forgot all about the fun that I had at the office, until we just pulled the pictures off the camera. She brought me home and I dove into the food dish like I hadn't eaten in days, she says that I must be like one of those peepul who eat when they get stressed out. Well YAH, I was stressed out! I spent the rest of the day sleeping off my bad mood.

Feline Vehicle Inspector

I have always had a curiosity in undercarrige inspections of automobeels. I have been doing this for years and I have finally obtained my certification as a Feline Vehicle Inspector. To get this I have had to inspect the under carriges of multiple cars and trucks. Luckily it only takes 4 vehicles and we have had that many vehicles in the time I've been doing this. I have also inspected the neighbors cars when I have succeeded in escapes from the front door. If anyone needs their under carriges inspected give me a call or send me a post in my facebook.

The Mazda checks out ok.

The Corvette is really low, but there isn't much to see underneath there anyway. I have to do a low crawl like a soldier to even get down there.

This was the most interesting truck to inspect, it was big and had places I could crawl around on. The peepul traded that one in though.

I do not have a picture of my fourth official inspection for my certification, but you'll just have to trust me, I have checked out the Colorado truck.

My Mum is a majishun, she sprinkled majik dust on the back yard and now there is a ton of grass out there!!
You all know how I luv grass. I luv to eat it, walk on it, hide in it and stalk berds in it.
You remember a few months ago when I was upset when Mum pulled up my clovers? Well I have decided, grass is better than clovers, I have to agree with Mum on this one.

Practice ride

Today I went for Mum what called "A practice ride". I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be practicin for but she said that we have to do it. I have no problems with the carrier, I actually purr when I'm in it and I go in with no disagreement, however when the truck starts moving that's when I'm not so sure. There was a lot of meowin going on. We went out drivin for about 20 minutes, the meowing lasted the whole 20 minutes.
She says she is planning to get a better carrier for the truck, that way I'll be safe and comfortable. Are any of you road trip kitties? Do you have any advice for us, cause I think I'm gonna be a road trip kitty soon or sumthin.

Sleepy Time Feet

I'd like to tell you a story about my sleepy time feet.

On the first night that I came to my furrever home with Mum and WB I was very tired and I slept in the bed with them. They were not used to sleeping with a cat in the bed and I was not used to sleeping with peepul, but I knew we were all going to love it. That was until I kept trying to touch Mum's face with my paws (and claws). She did not appreesheeate that. To stop getting scrached she started to hold my paws in one of her hands. Her hand kept my paws warm and we both found it to be quite soothing and we fell asleep that way. Ever since that first night, we have slept many nights with her holding my paws in her hand. Today we were laying on the bed having a nap and I pushed my paws under her hand for her to hold them, then I put my back paws under her arm. It was then that I thought, this might be a nice story about myself to share with my fans.

Saturday Caturday

Today was Saturday, I don't have a picture but that is because nothing really happened that was photo worthy.
I went outside dry and came back in wet, so that was a bummer for me.
I made some yacky noises for awhile, got Mum to ask me what was going on, but nothing came out, so she decided it was just noises.
I had some tasty Meow Mix Crab and Salmon dinner, then went to bed.

This was my Saturday. Told you nothing really happened.

Last week when my Mum and WB went to Lost Vaygas they went to Sigfried and Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat.
They saw these very big cats there. The cats were getting ready to punch out and go home for the day so they were anxious to go home to get their dinners. They were also backing up spraying in their areas to let the next guy know who worked that day. They seemed very ready to get out their enclosures to go to their bigger private quarters elsewhere on the property.
I wouldn't want to be in the way of them getting their dinner on time.

Sink cat

I like to lounge in the sink. I'm especially a fan of drinking straight from the spout, even though I have my own water fountain, I still enjoy a slurp fresh from the tap.

Its fun to stick my paws in the water sometimes too and just play in it.

The kitchen sink isn't the only one I like, I enjoy the bathroom sink just as much, it's more cozier.

Since Mum and WB left me with my cat nanny for most of the week so they could go somewhere called Lost Vay-gas, this is who I hung out with. What kind of name for a place is Lost Vay-gas anyway???

Holy CATS! I cannot believe that I just found these videos that Mum has never posted. This was the best video ever. One day, back in the fall I was chasing this mouse out on the back patio. It was lots of fun chasing him, but frustrating too, because he ended up getting away. I think Mum was trying to set this to music, but since it just hasn't ever happened, I'm posting it now. Clovers are my friend

We have a lot of big clumpy clover patches in the back yard right now, Mum doesn't understand why the grass doesn't grow, but clovers have no problems. I think I like clovers, they make good hiding places to watch birds.

Just watch, now that I posted about how I like the clovers, she's gonna go out there and pull them all up.

Surprise Gifts are pawsome!

I got THE coolest surprise today. I had kind of forgotten that I entered a contest on Percy's blog back in December and was chosen as the winner.
Today a big Fedex box came to the house today. Mum saw it when she pulled up in the driveway and wondered to herself "what is coming via Fedex?" She picked it up and it had my name on it, not her's. She brought it in for me, just as I was going out back to do my patrols and daily bird watching, so I let her open it for me. When I came back in I was very impressed to see a whole bunch of great gifts.

There is this neato round thing with this crazy ball that I just can't grab, it had some preemo nip that Mum put on the scratchy part in the middle that got me a little loopy.

It also had some yummy food samples from Taste of the Wild, it is my favorite flavor FISH. More specifically trouts and salmons. I think it's quite delish.
What's even better is that they gave me a gift certificate, so I can have Mum go online and buy a big bag of that yummy food!

A few very lucky people in the world were honorable enough to receive a limited edition William ornament for Christmas this year. For those of you who did not get one, here is a photo of one of them. Mum says she would have made more, but she did not have enough jar lids. She will begin collecting lids now, for next year's version. I think this would be the coolest thing to have on your tree for years to come.

Meet Orange

My Mum is back home! She wanted me to show you this kitty. She calls him Orange, no idea where she came up with that name... he is a feral kitty that lives outside at the store where she goes to teach at in Riverside, CA. He is a tough guy kitty, he is independent, he gets in fights with other kitties and raccoons. I think he usually wins his battles, but as the WB says, "you win some, you lose some". I feel bad that he has to live outside, but the nice people in the store feed him stinky goodness and dry food everyday. He hangs out there and has places to hide and sleep. He talks to people, but doesn't want to be touched. Mum talks to him when she sees him. He has been there for a really long time, and she says he's looking healthier right now than he has in the past, he's got extra fluff on him. It would be nice if he had a nice house to live in, but maybe he doesn't want a nice house, maybe he likes his freedom, who am I to judge?
There are another couple of kitties who live around there too, so he is not alone. I guess the store people figure that they can just feed them and keep them happy outside, rather than calling it in to the animal control people since they are independent cats and they might not get adopted. I think I have mixed emotions about that.She was taking pictures while he was in the middle of a bath, so that's why he's got his mouth all funny looking, he was licking his lips.

Quality time with the Berd

So, me and the Berd were spending some quality time together on the back of the couch today.

Once again, I was just trying to get to "know" her better, but Mum kept saying "William, No", or "Hey!" to me
Thanks to Mum's defense shields, this Berd has no obvious fear of this cat, this stalking machine of doom, she is not scared of me. What berd would sit and preen in the face of their predator? Guess I need a new tactic.
I'll just stare at you with contempt for now Berd...you win this time...

New sitting place

Mum got some new cushins for the dining room chairs a few weeks ago. They are nice for me to sleep on in the evenings. I know, I'm not sleeping in the picture, that is because Mum had to interrupt me because she was running around trying to find me and I wasn't in my usual spots. Don't you just love freaking out the humins by picking new napping spots, especially when the spot is right in front of them and they don't expect to find you there. Another thing I find entertaining is letting her get a little panicked because she can't find me, then I just saunter out into the living room like I was always there. She thinks I have a teleporter.

I got a great box of toys from some nice cats named Baby and Lucky, they don't have a blog of their own but they like to read all of ours. They sent me a great catnaip stuffed fish, it is soooo wonderful, I looove it. I got some mousies, a fuzzy grey thing on a stick and some snaks. I have a video of me opening the box, and some pics, but mum is helping me type this on her new flat computer and I guess it doesn't connect to the camera. we will get them online tomorrow. If you are reading this Baby and Lucky, thanx a bunch!

I sent my secret paws Lilly Lu, Maxie and Iris, it went all the way from California to Massachusetts in 2 days, that is amazing.

I just found this picture on the compyooter. I am a bit peeved right now. I am feeling cheated on and very jealous. Who is that??? I have been wondering where you were and now I know. You are off galavanting around the desert with other cats! Other cats! I just cannot believe my eyes. Look at that giant cat, he's a ginormous handsome mancat I can just tell. I bet he would be a great wressler. I'm gonna go to the closet now...

WB: William, William, chill out buddy. I am not cheating on you with this other cat. I met him on a field trip from my job out here in the desert. He was pretty cool, but you are way cooler. I don't think that I'd want to wressle this one, I'm pretty sure he would maul me. He wressles with the vicious deer that he eats for dinner, he's a big tough guy.

Me: Is that so? You met a vicious deer wressler? Skeezix would sure be impressed with that, as he is on a crusade against vicious deer. Did you get his pawtograph? He seems like he may be a local celebrity.

WB: So, are we cool?

Me: Yeah, we're cool. I can't wait till you come back and I can maul your arm.

The food bin is full

The food bin is full again!!! Yeah! I got a new food too, it's tasty. What is that new name on there? Low Fat? What does that mean? It must be for cats who are not fat, that has to be it. I may be weighing in at 18-19 pounds, but like I showed you before, I'm a big animal, not a fat animal. Mum must have gotten this food because of my low fatness.

Mum: Actually I bought the low fat kind because I think you should be a few pounds less than 18 or 19. Plus, you don't have the metabolism of a kitten anymore.

Me: Is that so? Maybe if it's low fat, that means I can eat more of it.

Christmas clownery

So, as most of you probably have already noticed, it is that time of the year when all of the Christmas decorations come out of their hiding place. I have no issues with house decorations. I'm not so sure about cat decorations though.

Mum put this collar on me today, apparently thinking that it was kyoot, felt the need to take pictures of me in it. I was as uncooperative as I thought possible. I didn't like it much, it was too
constrictive.
Mum's attempt at gaining cooperation, was bribery with Tem-tay-shuns. They were very tasty, so tasty that I had to lick my lips a lot after I ate them.
We went outside, because she thought maybe she could get a better picture. I continued to be cooperative. MOL

This was what she thought was the most successful of the pictures today. I personally think that last one was one of my best shots EVER! Nothing like Insano Cat face to spice up the Holiday photos.

I have a feeling this isn't the last time I'll be forced to wear this collar...

Farewell Tavi

My friend Tavi over at Camie's Kitty's departed for the Rainbow Bridge today. He lived a great long life, but was very sick for the past few months. He is at peace now and is running free with his brother and sisters who were at the bridge waiting for him.
I'll always think of Tavi when I lay on the bloo blankie on the back of my couch (as seen in my last post), Tavi's Mum knitted that for me on my 1st birthday and it was the first thing that I made biskits on.
Please be thinking of Tavi's Mum and his siblings Cody and Gracie as they will all be sad for the next few days missing him. I am purring for them.

I haven't laid on the back of the couch for a picture since we've been at this house. It was my favorite spot at the old house because it was a look out point where I could see everything, now it is in the wrong spot for any useful cat purposes. I think my Mum should rearrange the furniture so I can see the kitchen, out the window and down the hallway from the back of the furniture. All I can look at from here is the TV, the closed blinds of the front window and this grand painting above me, should I choose to glance up at it. Not very Feng Shway indeed.
